Sometimes we're so afraid of looking like we're less than we think we are (whatever that is for you, whether it be not intelligent, not pretty, not smart) that we over-complicate everything and miss the "gold", the simplicity. Life is really much simpler than we make it out, in our minds, to be.
Intelligence really has little to do with the discernment of truth.
I know. It sounds crazy. Stay with me. Wisdom is where it's at.
In EVERYTHING. Wisdom is where everything's at.
For those of us who play poker, you will know. The real game is in the risk. The game is not about who's technically proficient at 5-card Stud. The win lies in what you're willing to bet on your gut instinct.
An aside, we like to think we have instinct like animals. I think the fact that we attribute gut instinct to men and intuition to women is one more way we separate ourselves.
We all have gut instinct. It's called intuition.
Intuition, as defined by Merriam-Webster's Medical Dictionary, means
1 : immediate apprehension or cognition without reasoning or inferring
2 : knowledge or conviction gained by intuition
3 : the power or faculty of gaining direct knowledge or cognition without evident rational thought and inference

Rational Mind = Intelligence
Intuition = Energy = "In The Flow" = Playing in the Zone
Find a game to play. It can be twister. Or not. Begin. Continually make the choice to rely on your intuition and not your rational mind. Work to not interfere your intuition with thoughts of "I can't" or "I don't know what I'm doing" or even "Am I getting this right?" Just do the thing: play the game that you choose to play and watch yourself find a new way of being that is free and freeing.
