    Welcome

Creating our lives is not a new concept. However, it is also not a mainstream concept.
This bi-weekly tipzine will let you in on the “secrets” of those that have lives they love and create their world every day they’re alive. If you don’t believe that’s possible (the creation-part), then just keep reading. Maybe some day you’ll change your mind.
If you do believe, but you’re not sure how to go about it all, just keep reading for the gold. You know how you can read something once and then you read it again and get a deeper, more powerful understanding of what the words say or the meaning between the lines? Well, that's all I'm saying.
If you do believe and you know exactly of what is spoken here, then come to http://envisionthebestyou.tipzu.com and join a forum or create your own. Let others know what has worked for you in your experience. And remember, Envision The Best You is about fun, ease and lightness. Don’t let yourself be too heavy when contributing to the conversation.
We are creating a safe haven for those who are interested in living fully.

    What There Is To Say

Attachment vs. Commitment - it’s the age-old question of: do you have faith or do you lack it?
There are so many ways to say it: ease and grace or resistance and difficulty; inspiration or justification; freedom or feeling imprisoned by your feelings/thoughts; faith or no faith; commitment or attachment. Any way you say it, there it is. The reason why we dance or the reason why we struggle. Attachment is the core of our struggles - our struggle over anything and everything. All struggle begins from resistance to what is so. All ease begins with acceptance of what is so.
Notice when you’re struggling. Notice what you’re attached to, like a preferred result or outcome. When you notice all of these things, notice what it feels like to simply acknowledge these things truthfully and fully.
All 12-step programs focus on the same mantra and there’s a reason why. The mantra gets to the core of what works in life. That mantra is:
“God, (or your greater power)
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.”

The Serenity Prayer has been used as a formula for living and rightly so. It entails giving up attachment that things in life should go a particular way, that we should be certain people and that others should be a certain way when around us. It allows us to give up our need to control our outer existence and simply be responsible for our inner existence.
Now that’s Serenity.
And that’s what this holiday season of love and light is all about. Serenity.
So with gratitude for what is so in your life, for who you are right now in this moment, and for what you have already, take this season as it is. Take the season with all its foibles and fallibility in shopping and gift-giving. Take it with all of its joy and delight in the little things that can mean just as much as the expensive, and showy things. Take it with all the people that may not be as grateful as you. Take the season with all its trimmings, like the turkey that has all of it’s trimmings, and embrace it just as it is.
Find your own serenity and play and dance and have a joy-filled end of 2007.
Then be grateful to find a new way to serenity with another opportunity in the new year, 2008.

    Fun and Games

Take a moment to think how you can do Christmas on only $50 this year.
Remember when you were a kid and you had no idea that your hand-crafted gifts were “amateur” in any way? Remember when you “realized” that expensive gifts were best and that there was often a gift-giving competition between family members? Let all that go.
Take all your creative juices (if you have no ideas, get a book... there’s lots of ‘em with great gift ideas that can be found online or in-store). Then have at it. And HAVE A BALL
The Important Thing: Forget about what people will think. If you make it from your heart, they will adore you for it. If you only put half your heart in, you’ll get nothing out of it and only feel like a failure. Don’t sabotage yourself that way. Be kind and generous and give fully of yourself

“We are what we think. All that we are arises from our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.”
