As human beings we have these tendencies. We have tendencies to dream.

In the same breath, we have tendencies to be homocidal maniacs.
Yes, we do.

We are murderous of dreams. Our own. Other people's. Strangers. Family member's. Friend's. Good Friend's. People We Say We Love.

We kill dreams. And we say that we're realists in our justification of this murderous behavior. Because realism is definitely synonymous to murder.

C'mon. Who are we kidding? We kill dreams because we're afraid they'll come true.

And we kill other people's dreams, because we figure if ours aren't coming true, then other people's definitely aren't getting close in the running.

Yes, I mean you.
You. Sitting right there in that chair reading this blog right now.
Okay, standing right there reading this blog right now.
Okay, you being read this blog by your friend because you're blind.

Okay, enough. Take responsibility.

You kill your dreams. And then you kill other people's in the name of injecting realism in their life for their sake.

I ask you to consider that you kill other people's dreams and your own because you're not willing to face what's possible in your life. Everything is possible. Everything is possible.

The disappointment in your life has nothing to do with your dreams not coming true. It has to do with your impatience with yourself. Your dreams can come true at anytime. And you have to be willing to put in the action and wait the appropriate time. What is appropriate, you ask? However long it takes.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure."
Nelson Mandela
(And for all you folks, that begin to let your adrenaline run high because I didn't mention Marianne Williamson, let me just give you some food for thought... do you really think that Marianne Williamson would be up in arms for folks not attributing her quote appropriately and instead giving it to a man who has stood for so much in regard to love and peace and human dignity... calm down.)

It's your life. Choose powerfully.
